Michigan is a state located in the Midwest of the United States and it’s also known for its many bridges. The Mitten state is bordered by four of the five Great Lakes- Superior, Huron, Michigan, and Erie- as well as by Canada. The state has a population of nearly 10 million people and is the tenth most populous in the country. Michigan’s economy is largely based on manufacturing, with automobiles and auto parts being some of its largest exports. The state also has a strong agricultural sector.

Michigan is home to many famous bridges, including the Mackinac Bridge, which spans the Straits of Mackinac and is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. Other notable bridges include the Ambassador Bridge, which connects Detroit to Windsor, Ontario in Canada, and The Blue Water Bridge connects Port Huron with Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.

The Mackinac Bridge is perhaps the most famous bridge in Michigan. At 5 miles long, it is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world and offers amazing views of the surrounding area. It connects the Upper and Lower Peninsulas of Michigan and has been called one of the “Seven Engineering Wonders of Modern America.”

Ambassador Bridge

The Ambassador Bridge is another iconic bridge in Michigan. It crosses from Detroit to Windsor, Ontario, Canada and is currently the busiest international border crossing in North America.

The Blue Water Bridge is a twin-span international bridge across the St. Clair River that links Port Huron, Michigan, United States, and Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. The Blue Water Bridge connects Highway 402 in Ontario with both Interstate 69 and Interstate 94 in Michigan.
