About The Henry Ford Museum

The Henry Ford Museum is a really cool place in Michigan where you can see lots of cool stuff from America’s history! It’s called the “Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation” because it shows how people in the past made things better and how it helped our country grow, and was built in 1929.

Here are 5 things you can view at the museum:

  1. The first car ever made by Henry Ford called the “Quadricycle”
  2. A train that President Abraham Lincoln rode on
  3. A bus that was used to fight for civil rights
  4. A plane that was flown by Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean
  5. A replica of Thomas Edison’s laboratory where he invented the light bulb.

The best time to visit the museum is during the weekdays in the morning or in the fall when it’s not too hot or too crowded. The museum is open daily: Monday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you can’t make it to the museum in person, you can take a virtual tour of the museum on their website.

Inside the museum, there are lots of exhibits that you can see. Some of the must-see exhibits are the “America by Motorcycle” exhibit where you can see different types of motorcycles, the “Presidential Limousines” exhibit where you can see the cars that were used by past presidents, and the “Ford Rotunda” exhibit where you can see different types of cars.

The museum also offers field trips for schools and groups. If you go on a field trip, you can learn about American history and innovation in a fun and interactive way.

You can buy tickets for the museum online or at the museum’s ticket counter. The museum offers free days and discount tickets for certain groups. You can also become a member of the museum, which will give you special perks like free admission and discounts.

If you want to do something else around the museum, you can visit Greenfield Village which is next to the museum. It’s a place where you can see how people lived in the past and see houses and buildings from different time periods. You can also visit the Ford Rouge Factory Tour which is nearby where you can see how Ford cars are made.
